Quality & Safety

Nutri-Shield means quality.

Manufactured safely. Shipped fresh.

You provide quality products to your consumers, so you demand quality from your suppliers.  Nutri-Shield gives your that quality through our rigorous testing and quality control points present in our manufacturing process.

  • We test every lot prior to shipping for pH and moisture content

  • Our PCQI (Preventative Controls Quality Individual) verifies every reading individually

  • We maintain 3 control points in our manufacturing processing lines that ensure microbiological, chemical and physical safety

  • Every employee follows our Good Manufacturing Practices that is set forth by our Food Safety Team

Not only does Nutri-Shield provide quality, but our product is guaranteed to be as “fresh” as possible.  We only begin manufacturing your product after you have placed the purchase order.  This allows you to have the longest possible life span for your consumer product.

Nutri-Shield means safety.

Running our business the right way.

We care as much as you do that the people who consume your products know that they are safe to eat or use.  We believe in running our operations the right way, and so Nutri-shield is regularly certified by registered authorities to ensure that our product line is compliant with all the relevant laws and licenses for food safety.

We are GRAS, FDA and KDA certified, and many of our products are also certified Kosher.  Read more below about these certifications.

What is GRAS?

Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS) is an American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) designation that a chemical or substance added to food is considered safe by experts, and so is exempted from the usual Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA) food additive tolerance requirements.

FDA compliant

What is FDA compliant?

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is an agency of the U.S. federal government. The FDA is responsible for regulating the safety of food, drugs, cosmetics, biological products, medical devices, and consumer products that emit radiation. FDA compliance is the act of following these regulations.

KDA compliant

What is KDA compliant?

Kansas Department of Agriculture (KDA) Compliance means that we are inspected and certified to operate a food or food ingredient manufacturer in the state of Kansas.

Kosher certified

What does Kosher mean?

For a product to be kosher certified, and to qualify for a kosher certificate, each ingredient, food additive and processing aid used in its production must also be kosher. Additionally, to be kosher certified, the production process must be suitable for kosher requirements and therefore it must be approved by a kosher auditor. Products may be rendered non-kosher if their production lines and equipment are also used to manufacture non-kosher products.
